I was born and raised in the South Baldwin County and learned the real estate business from a young age. My parents managed SeaChase condominiums through the 1990’s and 2000’s where I spend a lot of my time early years. I spent a lot of my summers at SeaChase cleaning pools and sweeping parking lots. My parents taught me hardworking and consistency at an early age. As a young teenager, you could find me on the beach setting up umbrellas and chairs for Perdido Beach Service.
While in High School I began to learn the game of golf and started working at a local course, The Woodlands. I spent all my High School years working for Craft Farms and Woodlands Golf Course where I fell in love with the game. Those years flew by and after graduation I had to get a “real” job. While going to school at the local community college, I was learning the construction trade by working with Joe Raley Builders. After 2 years of construction and working in the 100 degree heat, I decided that an aside job would suit me best. In 2002, I began my real estate journey working with my Father, Jimmy Grantham and The First Team. While working for him, he made me start below the bottom and work my way up. I was known as his Do Boy. He would always try to talk me out of getting in the Real Estate business but I always knew I wanted to be in the business.
After a couple years splitting time between college and real estate, I decided the real estate business was my future. In 2005, I got my real estate salesperson license and began selling full time. During that time the real estate market in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach was booming. Everyone was making money and the prices were going up monthly, until 2007 when the recession hit the country. I contemplated going and finding a 9-5 job but after talking it over with my family, I felt working through the tough times would only make me a better Realtor for my customers and clients. During those year, I adjusted my business to focus on foreclosures and short sales which got me through the bottom market but also made the a more knowledgeable agent. Those years will always make me appreciate the good years and also know how to prepare for the next down market.
In the winter of 2010, I married my best friend Bambi and began my family with her and my step daughter Maddie. Bambi and I started to work together in the real estate business. I did all the listing and selling and she make sure our clients transactions go as smooth as possible working with title companies, lender, and appraiser. In 2011, I started The Premiere Team with several licensed Realtor working on my team. Learning to manage other Realtors only made me a better salesperson and leader in the business. As the years went on the real estate market continued to improve, Bambi and I decided to look to the future and decide what our dreams and goals were. After long talks and prayers, we felt that dissolving the Premiere Team was in our best interest and just become a husband and wife team. Our ultimate goal was to have a property in The Bahamas. We set a 5 year goal to achieve that goal and with lots of hard work we were able to build our home in the Islands of Exuma in 2021. Having this property and falling in love with the island life, we knew this is where we want to spend our down time.
Today we manage both the real estate and the rental management business from Gulf Shores while spending several weeks a year enjoying the beautiful waters in Exumas.
